I had one of the most boring lectures ever yesterday.
I mean, okay, yes, Yasuo is awesome and everything, but my GOD the subject was dryyyyy!
Everyone in the rooms life flashed before my eyes, that's how boring it was!

In other news, I went ice skating with the Vampire Queen last night; that is to say, peep, peep's friend and sami iceskated... I fell over lots, bruised ad ouchied myself lots, and eventually was put in the corner :P haha it was fun though

Now, I'm going to get the heat pack

Huzzah
Waffle is very happy!
I just got my results for this semester!

Back back back in the back of your mind
Are you learning an angry language,
Tell me boy boy boy are you tending to your joy
Or are you just letting it vanquish

P.S. expect to be bored with puppy pics tomorrow
The strangest thing about the whole 'finished with uni' thing is the feeling of guilt I keep getting.
I mean seriously... what am I, Catholic? Or worse, Sami?!

I'll be sitting there, reading a book and all of a sudden:
*BOOM* OH GODS! WHAT AM I THINKING; READING A BOOK?!?! ASDFGHJKL;'!1!! I MUST HAVE READINGS TO DO! AND AND AND AND HOMEWORK!!!! HAVE I FINISHED DOCUMENTING MY THOUGHTS ON THE ARTICLES IN International Relations AND The British Journal of Politics and International Relations YET?!?! *Panic* Zzz *Panic* ZXCVBNM,./ *WHOOSH* Oh wait... Uni's finished... I dont have to do this stuff anymore. o_0 WHAT WILL I DO WITH MY TIME? *looks down at book* Ooooooooooooooooooooh reading is good ^___^

I mean seriously... guilt is soooo not my thing.

In other news, I'm seeing the orthopaedic surgeon, and he'll either tell me that i no longer need mah cast... or he'll fit me a fibreglass motherfucker... which will be far lighter and more comfortable! Also, hopefully Ican get a coloured one... because you know blue is the best colour. That said, work will probably have a fit, and tell me to dye it a 'natural colour' but oh well ^____^

Anyhoo... must be off, so much to do, so little time :-P

Okay.
So.
Life, it seems...
Is definitely like a grapefruit. Orange and sticky, and sometimes eaten for breakfast. The same thing applies for Jews... only they eat bagels.

Also, it is the feverish hope that Mrs. Trix's Mum won't call up Ch 9 tomorrow and complain about the coverage of the US election.

Speaking of which... the bleeding lefty in me dearly hopes that Obama wins, just to have a liberal democrat as the head of the executive of the world superpower. It would be pretty good I think. I'm not naive enough to think that the election of Obama will "end terrorism and war all over the world and usher in a new era of global peace" as some nutjub said in their blog... But I do think it would be cool.

In other news I've finished all my essays, and now just have 3 exams left (one sat, two take-home) to do. This makes Waffle very happy. It makes him very happy indeed.

Oh yes,  but the driving is going good, and i've put down a deposit of about half to buy the car, und we're getting our puppy on December 7. Life is made of Yay!

She was born on a brightened pier / To a gypsy mother and a bucket of tears / Her good looks coulda sailed a ship / But her will alone coulda sunk it // Funny thing about money for sex / You might get rich /But you die by it // It's not as if New York City / Burnt down to the ground / Once you drove away / It's not as if the sun won't shine / When clouds up above / Wash the blues away

Lack of sleep sucks.

Especially when you go to bed nice and early... but then continuously wake up through the night. Ja, that is like totally uncool man. I feel like screaming ICH BIN EIN FLUGHAFEN or something... maybe that's just the coffee talking.

But yes, another day of uni... But only one more week left after this one, scary ne?
This semester has gone by way too quickly... its scary to think that next year will be my THIRD YEAR OF UNIVERSITY! Still... at least I have life goals and prospects, unlike some people I could think of. *Glowers*

Anyhoo... I am like totally going to go and start getting ready now... because you know... stuff?

Greetings

So, today was rather excellent.

I drove to the train station with the Mother and the Father, and then went to uni.

I went to the city with [livejournal.com profile] discover_sarah and Nici, because Sarah was feeling in a gift giving mood. As such, we went to Mayme, Burlesque Baby and Red Stripe before I'd had enough and as such left them to it and came back to uni.

When I came back to uni, I lay on the couch and napped in the Q Room for an hour, which was rather excellent, seeming as I was dead tired from an early morning today.

I then had a History lecture from the most disturbingly boring lecturer ever.
SHE IS AN ANDROID! She just sort of talks in this continuous monotone, and doesn't seem to let any emotion cross her face. Furthermore, I dont think she really made a coherant point, and as such she spent 40 minutes just talking at us. I did make Tamara snort with laughter when I wrote on my 'notes': "I wonder what'd be like if she got Angry?".

Anyway, after that we had the tute and it was [livejournal.com profile] finding_jay's group presentation, and SHE COWED US ALL INTO ABSOLUTE SUBMISSION WITH HER AWESOME TEACHERS VOICE OF DOOM!!!!

And it was actually a really awesome presentation, we had an activity to do which made us think about what the group was talking about (I see Jay's hand in that from her practicalling). But yes, it was great.

Anyway, I am off to finish my homeworks.

Yay... Deathcold of ~*~ULTIMATE~*~ Doom Times is progressing well... I appear to be losing my voice. Tuh, I say, though some people might say "YAY". ^_^
Also, I have nearly finished both of the essays due the week after next, so this makes me happy.
Oh, and I have my driving test on Monday... This makes me nervous but excited. :D

Amy and I both think we're coming down with something...
Like Scurvy, or a Fever, or a Haunted Leg.
Not Nice.
I've been really healthy lately (like foos wise... that is food wise) and it kinda sucks.
Oh wells, I must now return to rewriting the end of my essay, because Oh, Yes! I decided that I didn't like the way I ended my Sociology Essay at like 6 o'clock this morning. Mainly because I'm a freak I think, Yes?
Anyway, I should be back, Oh yes, Amy says hello via the skypes.
Mwah

Shalom!

Today, is an excellent day. You see, today it is thursday. Thursday, is of course the Patron day of awesomeness and other such imperialistic jams. I am currently in the Library, in one of the Level 6 Laptop/Study acloves, and it is pretty much the most awesome thing ever.

Anyway, this morning so far? Hmmmm... what have I done? Well, first off, I woke up (*gasp*) after having a nice, long, normal sleep (which, also, *gasp*), and I got ready for uni. This readying ritual included:
  • A shower
  • A cream cheese bagel
  • Clothes
  • A psychotic, yet friendly blue heeler
  • A snoring father
  • The packing of a bag
  • A trip to the Train Station
Once I got to the traino (early because I needed to top up my SmartRider) I got on an earlier train than usual, but it was okay, because I saw Meaghann! Which, admittedly I usually do on thursdays, but on my usual later train. It was really good though because, you know, we had a long, fun, Indie Kid/Penny and Spike style spazvo! We discussed topics such as:

  • Musics, and the strange names that Swedish Bands pick for themselves
  • Books we're reading
  • Movies
  • Meagh's recent acquisition of her licence
  • Boys
  • Uni
  • Life
It was, indeed pretty damn fucking awesome, but sadly Meaghs had to get off at Murdoch, so I was bored... but after I got off at Canning Bridge and got my Bus, the musics revitalised me!

My Afspeellijsten for the trip this morning was:

  1. I'm Not Over - Carolina Liars
  2. Napoleon (2007 Version) - Ani DiFranco
  3. Fleur De Saison - Emilie Simon
  4. Dame De Lotus - Emilie Simon
  5. Don't Panic - Coldplay
  6. Viva la Vida - Coldplay
  7. Violet Hill - Coldplay
  8. Space Monkey - Patti Smith
  9. 25th Floor - Patti Smith
  10. The Good That Won't Come Out - Rilo Kiley
  11. The Execution of All Things - Rilo Kiley
  12. Close Call - Rilo Kiley
  13. Breakin Up - Rilo Kiley
  14. Little Boy Jr - Mando Diao
  15. Clean Town - Mando Diao
  16. Poster of A Girl - Metric
Which isn't a bad list I have to say, a bit weird, because I couldn't decide what to listen to, but still, fun as :D

Anyway, the rest of the day is going to be taken up by study, then Sociology from 12 - 3, then study again, until Dad calls me to tell me that He, Steve, Helen, Bec and Kira are on the train. The reason for this strangeness is that We're all going up to see Skip, and friend of Mum and Dad's, and Steve and Helen's of course, from the town where Kira and I grew up. So it should be fun.

Anyhoo, off to finish writing my speach.
Adios.

Okay,
So, this morning on the way to the train station, the radio played the song I'm Not Over - Carolina Liar and I have to say... it's one of the most addictive songs I've heard in ages.

I love the lyrics, I love the beat, I love the lead singers voice and I love the fact that they're Swedish. It seems to fit into Meaghann and My "Driving-around-in-summer-bopping-to-the-music" category, which is awesome, and one of the reasons why summer in this goddamn hot arse country is bareable ^_^

What else? Oh yeah, I actually went to the entirety of my Asia-Pacific lecture this morning, I think I may have almost died from the shock... either that or the bordom. After that Keiran, Debbie, Nicole and I went and sat on the grass behind the library until it was time for Nicole, Keiran and I to go to our Oil, God and War lecture, which was on Turkey today, not Egypt.

But yes, I am off to bed, because I have to get up at 5:00 am tomorrow, and the prospect of doing so on only a couple of hours sleep, well, no thanks.

Anyways, Sayonara.

Greetings to thee on this Holiest Day (At least in the religion where the weekend is God) of Days; Friday.

I caught the train with Chloë and her girlfriend Casey today (as I do most fridays), and It was pretty damn awesome! We sat and talked and laughed and deliberated on the existential meaning of life... We discussed Webcomics, Chloë's Mum, the various pros and cons of different murder schemes (Ja... the two are related), Paris Je T'aime, various Manga, Youtube videos, and we were having so much fun that we nearly missed our station...

Now, we're in one of the level 3 Humanities compuyrt labs, watching Disney/Avatar crossover musical videos... which are pretty much the AWESOME... Also, we are looking at deviantARTS and squeeing like Pandas. There may also be Bagels involed, as well as facebooking and other such IRISH STYLE SHENANIGANS!!!! Also, Cheese.

This leads to an interesting question... which type of Avatar style bender would we be?
Chloë thinks she would be a Waterbender... I think I would be too, or maybe a Firebender... its kind of hard... damn my Gemini-esque dual personality!!!

Anyway, I may have to actually turn up to my class, so I best be off!
See Ya!

Greetings Gentles All.

I have a query for thee to ponder, should your disposition proove affable to such an act of contemplation.

Why is it, that everyone I have met and/or made friends with this semester, seems to be a friend of a friend that I already have? Why is it so? Furthermore, why is it that these links seem to be somewhat unexpected and unforseen? It is not that I find this strange real-life demonstration of the six degrees of seperation uncomfortable or annoying, quite the opposite in fact, it is simply that it can, at times take me by suprise.

Let me give you a long, convoluted illustration of this: A new friend of mine Sarah, whome I met in Sociology, introduced me to
Liam who also does sociology with us. Now Sarah is friends with my friend Daniel, however we didn't discover this until a week or two after Sarah and I had become friends, when I told her to come meet me in the Queer Room and Daniel brought her in. In a completely unrelated but equally entertaining twist, Daniel's boyfriend's name is also Liam. As if these weird conicidence wasn't entertaining enough, I was sitting in the Lecture theatre with Anna and Liam today, waiting for Scott, our lecturer to arrive. Now, I have known Anna since first year, as she is in my social science core, but other than that we were otherwise unconected acquaintence wise, until I discovered that she went to school with my friend Claire who I know from working at Woolies. However, as we were sitting there chatting, I happened to mention the city that I live in, which amused Liam because his girlfriend also comes from the same city as me. He asked if I knew a girl called Hanna, of about a year older than me. After telling me a bit about her, and showing me a picture on his mobile, we determined that I did indeed know Hanna, and that I had in fact been in the same class as her in year 5 and 6 in primary school, gone to the same Middle School with her and also gone to the same High School with her. So thus, while I no longer know her particularly well, I do know her and as such another random link in my group of friends has been added.

Thus, In summary, I would put another question to you: When the fuck is the Bowl of Petunias and the Very Suprised Sperm Whale going to appear?

Greetings,

It would seem that I have been remiss in my posting. Exhibited mainly through the fact that I have not posted here in four weeks. The problem, you see is that I have been at uni. Furthermore I have been attempting to actually remain on top of my study and assignments this semester... something I  seem to  be doing well at it would seem.

My subjects aren't really all that difficult, and I have made some new friends, as well as lost some old ones. Thus does the story of my life continue on, bringing me here to stand before you, in mute supplication to the uncaring predicament in which I have placed myself. But never fear, for I have carrots, and as such shall not fear for lack of orange things to eat. I will, however, be royally screwed if I require something orange to knit with - carrots do not make particularly effective knitting needles. Ariane, however is truly a King amongst the German cakelings... a bunt, you see? No? Well, no matter. She has just sent me somethings strange and to do with Boobies. Quaint? I fear not. Today I have been reading
"Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" a most masterful play it would seem, and one that I had not, until yesterday, thought of since year 12.

I suppose that it would be necessary to sum up some of the occurrences that have occurred in an occurrable manner over the last four weeks. Let me see, the last four weeks have included:
  • A Funeral
  • A Wake
  • 3 fights with sami
  • Much buying of music
  • A hilarious attempt by a certain friend's ex to get back in contact with said friend through yours truly
  • 47 bagels
  • An over-excited, yet lovable dog
  • Paris, Je T'aime
  • Working at Woolworth's
  • University
  • New Friends
  • Old Enemies
  • A disproportionately large amount of Trees
  • Spoons
For now, that is all. I shall endeavor to post with greater regularity, because it's fun.
^_^

Finally I rise from my saintlike slumber, attended as I am by my Stalinist Oranges and Moose Hoofmaidens.

Yay! I'm geekishly excited about going back to uni tomorrow, apart from possible pabiqness, which I'm sure I can handle in any case. I have International Relations in the Asia Pacific 218 and Oil, God and War, two classes that will be totally fascinating.

In other news Nic and I have decided that we wish to rule over Pastafaria, a land made up of the bunny islands, with the Flying Spaghetti Monster and Invisible Pink Unicorn as the God and Goddess of the State Religion. It will be a happy prosperous place, however, invaders will be dealt with accordingly... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

In other news,  have a driving lesson in half an hour, thus I think I might go and have a shower.

^_^

Copper Boom.

Hey hey.
I got the classes I wanted for uni, and my timetable is as follows:
Tuesday:
8:00 - 11:00: Europe and the International 225
11:00 - 2:00: International Relations in the Asia-Pacific Region 218
3:00 - 6:00: Oil, God and War: the Making of the Modern Middle East 226
Wednesday:
11:00 - 12:00: Sociology 221
Thursday:
1:00 - 3:00: Sociology 221

This is particularly awesome because it means I have mondays and fridays off, and thus 4 DAY WEEKEND!
Yeeeuh.
